PB087 | The Hamlet - The Tower

Returning again to Pxl-Bot, we are very pleased to be bringing you a brand new release from The Hamlet, The Tower.

Packed full of more of the sweet, beautifully written melodies that are to be expected of The Hamlet, The Tower is ten tracks of brilliance. Telling it's story as you ascend the floors of a mysterious, possibly long forgotten tower. Each track spins its part of the tale as you climb, giving the album an incredible atmosphere, conjuring feelings of exploration and discovery as well as every so often a slight feeling of unease and apprehension, found lingering in the shadows. All of this ultimately culminates in another outstanding release from the Hamlet!

PB084 | Falling For A Square - 1996. Forever.

Making a second appearance on Pxl-Bot, Falling For A Square brings with him a, quite simply, beautiful new album.

Described by Falling For A Square as a mini recording focusing on heart strings, heartbreaks, death, truth, commuting and crushes of long ago, "1996. Forever." is a journey through the nuances of love and life, portrayed with perfect execution. Emotions are woven around wonderfully crafted melodies, emerging in each track and pulling you into the story being told, as well as immersing you in a world of your own memories. The already strong atmosphere is strengthened further by the mixture of guitar and vocals with more standard chiptune, bringing with it intoxicating depth, character and life. With mastering by Brian Slusher and artwork by Andrew Gleeson, we proudly release this must-not-miss piece of emotively strong chip.

PB081 | Auxcide - Dimensions

Pxl-Bot are extremely proud to present to you the return of one of our very favourite artists, Auxcide, with his brand new EP! To tell you a more about the release, here are some words from Auxcide himself!

"[ Dimensions ] sparks a change in recorded music for Auxcide. This style more reflects his more recent live music then his pure LSDJ tracks from last year. Each song was made to have one aspect and then another related one: Astral's airy ambiance to it's more gritty section, Oversoul's change in dance and counter melodies, Spirit's free 6 bar solo sections into an 8 bar breakdown and then dancefest, and Dimensions' alternating keys and melodic feeling. This album was written while exploring the Arturia MiniBrute as a slave to the Arduinoboy as well as the Arduinoboy software itself."

PB080 | Monotron - Chain Sequence

Chiptune metal maestro Monotron delivers his debut Pxl-Bot release in the form of 7-track EP ‘Chain Sequence’. Blending guitars with sampled drums and chiptune melodies, metal sensibilities and melodic meanderings form a cohesive release as hooky as it is headbangable.

Crossing melodic death metal with cyberpunk chiptune, Monotron creates a remarkable balance between clashing atmospheres and emotions. For a debut chiptune release there is a noteworthy level of attention paid to the details within. From the space-fuelled expanses of ‘Chapter I’ to the grandiose of ‘Chapter IV’, Monotron’s ability to create large tunes from small sounds is striking. Memorable melodies, strongly bound structures and creatively crafted atmospheres make ‘Chain Sequence’ one of the best debuts we’ve housed.
